Engineering & Certification Environment

Professional experience in regulated aviation environments with a clear separation of design and production responsibilities in accordance with EASA Part 21.

EASA Part 21J – Design Organisation (DOA)

  • Design and verification activities within approved Design Organisations
  • Compliance demonstration and certification-related engineering
  • Support of development programmes, design changes, and continued airworthiness

EASA Part 21G – Production Organisation (POA)

  • Technical interface activities with approved Production Organisations
  • Awareness of production constraints, conformity, and configuration control
  • Coordination between design intent and production realities

Certification Verification Engineer (CVE)

Acting as Certification Verification Engineer (CVE) in multiple technical disciplines within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation.

Authorised CVE scope includes:

  • Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics & Loads (FML)
  • Flight Test (FT)
  • Structures (ST)
  • Cabin & Interior (CAB)
  • Electrical & Avionics Systems (EA)
  • Aircraft Systems & Powerplant Integration (SYS)
  • Development Assurance & Safety Assessment (e.g. FHA, SSA)

CVE activities cover independent compliance verification across prototype development, certification testing, design changes, and continued airworthiness.


Flight Test & Experimental Operations

  • Flight Test Engineer (FTE)
  • CVE Flight Test responsibilities, including configuration verification and test readiness
  • Preparation and review of Flight Conditions and Permit to Fly documentation
  • Coordination with test pilots, design organisations, and authorities
  • Experience with flight test instrumentation and LOS / BLOS telemetry

Electrical & Advanced Energy Systems

  • High-voltage electrical systems
  • Hybrid-electric propulsion systems
  • Conceptual and safety-oriented work on hydrogen-based energy systems
  • Experience as interim responsible electrical specialist (VEFK)
  • Measurements during operation, including work on live systems

Missions & Operational Experience

  • Participation in scientific and special-purpose missions, including an expedition to Cape Verde
  • International mission expert with the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW)
  • Operational decision-making in environments with limited infrastructure and elevated risk

Licences & Operational Qualifications

  • Pilot licence
  • Maritime qualifications, including radio operation certificates and SSS
  • Truck driving licence (CE)
  • Amateur radio licence (Class A)

Project & Program Management

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience in structuring and supporting complex technical projects
  • Integration of engineering, testing, and qualification activities

Training & Knowledge Transfer

  • Trainer qualification and training experience since 2004
